Porsche Warrington’s restoration of a 1996 Porsche 993 (aka 911) Ivory Safari Coupe will be on display in Chicago, Ill. at the city’s annual Checkeditout event on Aug. 27. There, it will be judged by Porsche Cars North America specialists against other Porsche dealerships representing Area East.

If selected, Porsche Warrington moves on to face the South-Central and West area winners for the top overall prize at Porsche Sports Car Together Fest. The event takes place in Indianapolis, Ind. during Labor Day weekend, with the overall winner being announced at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sept. 3.

According to PCNA, 62 dealerships participated in the annual competition, and that it aims to return beloved classic Porsche vehicles from the 1950s to 2000s back to the road. With a portfolio of more than 60,000 unique Porsche Classic Genuine Parts at their disposal, eligible vehicles entered by dealerships included Porsche 356 and 914 models, five generations of the 911, transaxle models like the 944 and 928, as well as modern classics such as the first-generation Boxster and Cayenne, and Carrera GT.
